Walking Your Way to Health

More than 70% of people in the UK do not take enough exercise to benefit their health. Walking is the ideal way for getting sedentary people to become active and requires no special equipment or expense. Walking can reduce anxiety, depression and loneliness. It can also promote neighbourliness, increased confidence, stamina and energy levels and hence boost people's quality of life. Just 30 minutes of activity 5 times per week can help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and arthritis.

Why not even attend our Walking Your Way To Health Park Walks programme? These walks, led by qualified walk leaders, giving you the opportunity to speak to and meet the leaders, in natural, local surroundings. All walks are on good paths and most are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
